Komorowski Carpentry - Woodworking with a CNC

CNC Customer Success Story by Techno CNC

Komorowski Carpentry is a general contracting company paired with a custom cabinetry and woodworking shop. From residential renovations to light commercial fit outs, to vanities and built in’s to custom bars and camper skeletons,  Komorowski Carpentry focuses toward more unique things and avoids the typical “production” items. Known for their artistry, creativity and attention to detail as well as the quality of the finished product, the company has even developed their  own brand of wooden kids toys and furniture called Posh Po. All products are designed, built and finished in their shop in West Chester, PA. They also use locally sourced hardwoods for many of their projects and support many small businesses around them.

Komorowski Carpentry grew from a hobby to a successful business over the course of a few years. Owner, Jacob Komorowski, began by building his own cabinetry and doing all onsite built in work. After securing an expensive space for the company to flourish, Jacob knew it was time to step up his production or his business would fail. He invested in a Techno CNC router which helped him double his production rate almost immediately. “As time has gone on I have begun to develop new products and ways to better utilize the CNC thus not only growing, but diversifying what we do as a company”.

“We have used our Techno Titan Series CNC to more accurately cut out all of our parts for cabinetry and furniture, as well as flatten rough lumber before it is milled down. We have used it to allow for us to prototype things and then pull from our file later to replicate them. We have used it as a selling point to customers to explain our capacity to produce product quicker and more precise, and a way for us to keep costs down. We are able to add steps like engraving our logo or designs into projects. We have been able to make signs and other things that would otherwise be nearly impossible to do efficiently by hand. Being able to reproduce things easily is probably the biggest way we were able to expand our business. As opposed to typical templates or paper plans, we are able to pull from our file, set it and let the machine do the work while we are able to set up the next project. Our brand Posh Po would not be the same without it. This has moved us into a custom shop with production capabilities. We are able to cut out more parts significantly quicker”.

Jacob has been able to diversify his business after investing in a CNC router. The machine has allowed him to develop an entirely new brand. “We actually were able to develop our Posh Po brand around the CNC – allowing for a production cutting capability with precision and accuracy, which would otherwise not be possible. There are many unique parts to each piece that need to but cut. If there is any variation, they are not able to be assembled properly and will fail. Being that these are for children, the strength and integrity of the finished product is imperative. We are also able to cut out parts and engrave the logo in one shot, as opposed to doing it by hand, which would require several different tools and much more time. We then can create a nest, add other details and designs on the flip sides”. Posh Po was founded in 2023 in West Chester, PA USA. At Posh Po the company designs, fabricates and curates high-quality wooden goods for kids. Their products are handmade and built to last. The goal is to put quality toys that inspire creativity into the hands of the next generation. The intentional designs of our heirloom furniture and home goods are made to both compliment the look of your home and take the wear and tear of everyday life. The brand currently sells play kitchens, play stools, building blocks, and more.

About the Titan Series

The Titan Series machine is all steel construction, providing the rigid foundation required for ultra-smooth routing results. The Titan machine includes a 12HP HSD automatic tool changer with 8-position tool rack, and a pneumatically operated dust collection hood that concentrates air flow at the cutter. This provides optimal dust collection performance. The multi-zone vacuum t-slot table on the Titan CNC Router is constructed from very hard phenolic; a very stable material that holds tight tolerances for precision cutting. The Titan CNC machine is connected to a vacuum pump, which offers superior hold down, and has very quiet operation. For easy sheet alignment, (3) material pop-up pins are included and precisely placed to handle and align various size materials. The Titan series is powered by brushless drive motors, and is controlled via easy to use and learn hand held controller.

“I was introduced to Techno about 3 years ago when I was in the market for a CNC. I researched a lot of different brands and Techno had the best value to quality ratio paired with very helpful sales people and customer service. I also chose Techno CNC because a colleague had the exact model and was able to help coach me through some different ways he was able to use his machine. He spoke very highly of the services and options Techno provided. That was my determining factor. I purchased my Titan Series CNC machine shortly after that. I highly recommend purchasing a Techno CNC if you are in the market for a quality machine backed up by quick responses from customer service and a team that reaches out regularly just to see how the machine is operating and if has been helpful. I’m very glad I made this investment”.
